Can I use a regular CD-drive?

Hi all,

I'm just now downloading the demo software to play my CD-G discs on my computer. I don't see anywhere that I can use just my regular Cd drive? Everything points to a CD-R which I don't have. Do I need this or will the software work with just a regular drive? I don't wish to copy, I just want to play the disc & have the graphics appear on my monitor.

Is there another type of software that does this?

Thanks!
Julie

No, you cannot...

Sorry, but you will need a CDR to use Microstudio.

CDROM drives will not read the CDG format. :r
