Hoster 4.08 does not show me Videos naymore in the preview window
 

Hello,
maybe someone can help me here. With Hoster 4.06 I was able to see Video CDs (the .DAT file copied to the computer) also in the preview window of my 2 Laptops (one is my backup) but last week I upgraded to 4.08 and the preview window remains black when running a video file on both computers (Windows XP and backup is VISTA. Never had problems with both operating systems). Can someone give me a hint here?

I believe video in the preview window was removed because it was causing problems.

I never had problems before. I only upgraded to have the newest version but I have have know this I would still run with my old version 4.06. I was very happy with it. But thanks for your comments. Maybe it can be solved somewhere in the settings. Waiting for comments of MTU.

Hey Stritti,
MTU added an new player to 4.06 that allowed you see video in the preview window. This player was causing problems for some users so MTU removed it in 4.08 to make Hoster stable for all.

If you want to see the video in the review window, you have to use 4.06 and have it set to the new player.

There are a bunch of improvements in 4.08 but seeing the video in the preview window went with the new player that was removed. Hoster has to stable for everybody, including Vista users. :r

Had you read the items worked on for 4.07 (which didn't release) and 4.08 you would have seen that this is what is stated in that information. This information is on the Download page for the free upgrade.
