Internet Explorer 8

Is it safe to download, and has this been tested through MTU?

Last I knew it was a Beta and no it has not been tested with anything from MTU. My guess is if it behaves correctly Hoster will not have any problem. You should always be able to roll back to IE7 if you want to try it.

I would check it out at Microsoft website and see if it is still Beta version.

At this time SCDG's cannot be imported directly. You'll have to use another program to convert them to mp3g's first.

If you asked a question in this forum a couple of days ago it did not get posted because it does not show anywhere in here nor does it show in your list of posts.
One thing the guys didn't point out is that the Demo version does not import complete song files anyway, so you are wasting your time trying to import that much through the Demo as well as the fact that Hoster cannot import SCDGs directly.

Hoster and IE8

i ran hoster with internet explorer 8 installed tonight at my show. I am running vista as well.
I ran into one slight problem with it when entering a new song into the playlist the external name and song display on the 2nd monitor would blink white each time you entered something or deleted something from the play list. Only the bottom part of the screen where the singer names and songs appear would blink

ddouglass March 29th, 2009 01:23 PM

That is because Hoster is updating that list any time you make a change to the playlist, not because of IE8. You just may not have noticed it before.

I haven't noticed that. Are you using an LCD screen for the singer's monitor? The reason I ask is that I still use CRTs. That, coupled with what Dale said, would lead me to speculate about the refresh rate of the LCD TVs.

Reverted back to IE7

I reverted back to IE7 and the problem with this flashing white when refreshing stopped.
This definately has something to do with IE8 because I reinstalled IE8 again and the problem came back.
