Need help on Rebuild Songs Database

I have all my KMA files on an external hard drive G:|Songs. I just installed a 2nd internal hard drive in my laptop F:|Songs. I copied all my KMA files to my internal drive F:|Songs. I added my internal drive to the Rebuild Songs Database box. I haven't hit the Rebuild Songs Database button yet. So, now I have the external and the internal hard drive in the Song Source Folders Box. Do I need to delete the External Folder, or can I leave both of them in? In other words... can you have more than one source (Folder) in the Song Source Folders Box??? If you can have two, and the external hard drive is already recognised, then do I just highlight the internal folder and then hit the Rebuild Songs Database button? I hope I didn't confuse anyone.

Thanks,
Ernie

The confusion is how do you install a 2nd hard drive "Internally" in a Laptop???:? I have never seen a laptop that had space for an additional drive.
You cannot have both locations listed if you have exactly the same KMA files in both. If you Rebuild with both locations listed every song you have will come up as duplicates.:e Remove the External drive (G:) from the list and then rebuild just on the internal (F:). Keep the External for a back-up copy. If you have to use the back-up you will need to rebuild again with just that drive in the list.
You can have multiple souce locations, but not with duplicate files. If you have some files in location "A" and different files in location "B" then you can list both and rebuild or add to combine the two locations in the database. Many have some files located on their C: drive and additional files on another drive and do this. I have my Audio songs in a different folder from my karaoke files. When I rebuild I have both locations listed so all are in the database for use.

Dale,
I have an HP Pavilion 17" DV8000 Laptop. Just three screws underneath gives you access to both hard drive slots.
Thanks for the information!!!!

You can disconnect the external and rename the second internal to G: If the file structure stays the same as I understand it in your initial post, you won't need to rebuild at all. If you need to use your external because of a problem, you will have to rename the internal and assign the G: back to the external.
