Second Copy Demo

I am attempting to backup my main External hard drive to another 250GB hard drive. I downloaded the free "Evaluation" trial version of "Second Copy". It copied everything EXCEPT my KMA files. It copied the VCD ".DAT" files. All i got was the titles??? When i clicked on the title, it said "Not Found On Hard Drive". Now.... how do i erase my Western Digital External 250GB hard drive i just paid $129 for at Best Buy??? George:m
Here is a link to their website http://www.centered.com/

George this has nothing to do with Hoster or any MTU program. You need to direct those questions to the company that produced Second Copy.
If there is nothing else on the drive then reformat it and that will erase the drive.

Oh Wow beavis thanks for the link.
ddouglass, i was just wondering if anyone else uses "Second Copy" backup software, for KMA files. Perhaps i'm doing something wrong trying to dupe.

ive stayed away from using wd hhd, i bought and returned 3 250g of their hhd, a while back, i used wd hhd to cloned my int. drive, and for some reason after i got done cloning, the new hhd ( all 3 of them ) shows the same space as the old drive, called tech support ( india ), and i was told that the hhd was bad..( all 3 of them ?):) but anyway i just bought and paid $69. for 250g seagate int. hhd and they have 1tb for i think was $115.. at office depot..and also western digital has a link to where you can erased/test the hhd...as far as the free trial that you got from 2nd copy, like i said before thru experienced, if you dont buy the full version, free copy trial will only back-up certain files, try the acronis free trial, its a full working version for 30 days...

i use second copy and have never had a problem with tranfering my kma's to the external.

Musicman51 January 25th, 2009 01:26 PM

Beavis, i don't think the "Trial" "Free" version is the full version of the program. I downloaded the Acronis software. Had my hard drive cloned, and up and running CD+G's in about an hour. I have no idea what happen during the secondcopy backup. But my KMA's were not there, now they are...humm..go figure. Thanks for your helpful input. George:)

Incidently, i'm going to make yet another back up hard drive, i want two besides my master. And i will again, try the "Second Copy" software and see what results i get. we know the "Acronis" will work ok.

I have used Acronis to cloned my drives for at least a year now..its so easy to use, isn't that right musicman?:):)

Norton Ghost works real good

I made two hard drive back ups of my Hoster KMA & video files, and my complete computer system. Now, for a old guy, with little formal education, who has trouble even turning on a computer...that tain't bad. I'm going to go ahead and purchase the Acronis software from the free trial. George :)

i dont know how many computers you have, but once you buy it, you can install the sofware multiple times, just click on register later, like any other software you have to type in the s/n etc.

I will just do that billyo... thanks for that tip.
