Import problems--please help!

Trying to import files from a hard drive--they are already KMA. What do I do? Hoster is not recognizing them in the given formats for importing...

Thanks, but I don't have anything in the songs database yet. I just got Hoster, and have never imported anything before.

Then my question is where did you get the KMA files from? Only Hoster creates KMA files and you just got Hoster.:?

If you do not have the original CDs then these are illegal for you to use.

Oh, ok. I'm not too great with this stuff yet, but I think it's working now. Thanks for your help. So my book will also automatically update?

ddouglass January 8th, 2009 01:05 AM

Do you have the original disks from this other KJ also?

wpjs79 January 8th, 2009 01:06 AM

No no no, we have virtually the same disc library (2 separate sets) becuase we work as pertners, but he already had them ripped into hoster and his hard drive. I didn't want to also have to spend all the time doing the same thing...

I did not copy anything I haven't already legally purchased.

Thanks for letting us know. The only way we legitimate KJs can keep working and getting what we should is to try to stop piracy. We try not to supply information in these forums for pirates.
Sorry to jump on you about this, but the way your first posts were written gave us a start.
Welcome to the Hoster and MTU family and any questions you have be assured we will help all we can or direct you where to get additional help.

You books and BookIDs will be exactly as your partners.

No worries at all--actually, I'm glad to see that someone cares. I hate the fact that so many people are instantly getting for free what took me many years and many dollars to build...

Thanks for the welcoming words. I think I figured this out, although now I'm having a bit of trouble with the format of my book. I prbably just need to play with it a bit more...

Glad you got your problems worked out. Me I have a 4 piece library, 1 used and 3 in the original wrappers. Promoting hoster like I do, when a friend asks is there an easier way I tell them sure bring your disks and a disk list.

Then it is a simple copy of what they have that I have already loaded on my backup drive. This can work well when you have a messed up track and they have a good one also. So far with a library times 4 that has not came up for me. It took me a month to download all of mine and that was many hours 7 days a week so any short cut I could have got I would have welcomed. Problem I was the first in my area to go Hoster, but I do have a lot of converts.
