Importing songs with Hoster 4.06 slow

I recently upgraded from Hoster lite 3.x to Video Hoster 4.06 full version. Everthing seems to work well except for importing songs using my plextor drive. When I updated to 4.06 it left hoster lite on my system, which I'm thankful now. When I try to import songs from new cdgs using 4.06 it takes 5 to 10 minutes per track. I can start the hoster lite program and import a song from the same cdgs in several seconds. I'm currently forced to use the older Hoster lite to import cdg disk, which means I have to regenerate the song database if I want the song avaliable when I run 4.06. I'm running windows xp. Any ideas on how to get a better perfromance importing cdgs with 4.06?

Check the import bit rate. You may have it set too high in 4.06.

There are settings in the CD\DVD Drives tool for Import speed. They are Fast, Better, Best. This governs how much error correction Hoster uses to import the tracks. Hoster 4.06 has the best error correction over all the other karaoke softwares. The downside is if the disc is dirty or scratched then Hoster can take a while to import.
My last Plextor drive has died but using the NEC drives from MTU I can import new discs in about 1 minute per track and that is on the Best setting.

I am currentely inporting 4 brand new CD+G disc into Hoster 4.8 on a new Laptop. Imorting at 160k, speed set on max. Songs take anywhere from about 30 seconds to 2 minutes to load.
