version 4.06 path is missing (song)
I finally made the move and up graded to 4.06 a couple weeks ago. I was really excited about the new upgrade with the scrolling banner and next singer for my last show with a national insurance corporation this past Wednesday, I do 15 shows a year for them for a pretty penny. The vice president is there every so often and he likes to sing one certain song (Live like you where dying) he was there and I brought the song up and clicked play. I got this message (the country hits-11r' track path is missing) He was not happy and neither was I. I thought all bugs where taken care of in this version or I would have not upgraded before this show.
Please let me know what to do? Also With the new version there is no button for zipped files to bring them into my play list, when purchasing karaoke songs on the fly when there is wifi at a show this was very handy. Jeff |
Jeff,
You have run into the one unique problem that was found after the release. This is that the DiskID is over 12 characters. This was corrected by 4.06a which was incorporated into the setup after the problem was discovered (don't think it shows that it is 4.06a but it is). Try downloading and re-installing Hoster again from the Support/Downloads page of the web site. The ZIP files was removed because Hoster is no longer going to support playing directly from ZIPs. It is a long explanation and I won't go into it now. To use any ZIPs you download you will have to use the regular Import from HD to permanently import them. This function also unzips the files back to MP3+G format then imports it. Unfortunately you can not do this while running a show. However if you download one, then unzip it with Explorer, then you can use the temporary import so there is a work around. |
I ran into this issue several times. I read about some random problem that add a letter to the end of the .kma or something like that. I noticed that it is not a permament problem cause sometimes I can reload the songs to the playlist and Hoster plays it but I have to leave the first request on the playlist and add it again if I delete the original request while facing the error it will happen again and again until I add it with the troubled song in the playlist.

Hey Ricky,
That worked great, now every time I bring it up fresh it finds it. Didn't have to reinstall 4.06 Thanks Jeff |
If you both would re-download and re-install then the problem would go away completely. Your choice.

I have all ready down loaded and will do the reinstall, I'll let you know how it goes.
