Build Song Database Problem

I went to rebuild my song database. It was rebuilding when an alert came up and read... The Parameter is incorrect. The counter had stopped, and on the counter it read... Currently Processing Song DB 3836 Of 24603....... Is song 3836 the problem? If it is what do I do?????

Thanks,
Ernie

Did it also say that a field was blank?
Then yes 3836 is the culprit. The file is corrupted and will need to be re-imported. To figure out which one it is you will need Access or a program that can read Access database files. This is to read the Songs.mdb file to find record #3836 to figure out exactly what disk it is from and what track.
Unless there are more like this, then the rebuild should continue on.

I have this same problem. When I try to open the database file (the bucket?)it is asking for a password. Now what?

The Bucket is not the database for your song files. Songs.mdb is the file and it doesn't need a password.

So I have to buy Microsoft Access to figure out which KMA file is choking Hoster?? Ridiculous. There's no way someone would write a paid, commerical application with that kind of troubleshooting solution. There must be a way to figure out which file is causing the problem in order to reimport it. Any ideas?

Why are you addressing this in a two year old thread? Hoster now has a combined log that is output when errors or duplicates are found. This thread is now closed.
