Blank show display

Today I was playing around with Hoster 4.06 which was connected to second monitor but was not switched to svideo input but was on. After a time I switched the second monitor to svideo and it only showed my laptop plain background (Blue). There was no show display showing and the preview small screen was also blank. I tried rebooting computer and restarting Hoster. When Hoster was reloading you could see the second display for a fraction of a second before it was covered over by the blue blank screen. Tried playing a song but no difference, sound only. I checked all the video settings and connections. I then tried version 34 which showed the singers display at the bottom but did not show any other screens. It seemed like it was behind the blank screen but I could not find an "always on top" setting. I was now starting to worry as have a show on this Saturday. I then did a system restore to 2 days previous and restarted. Every thing worked OK again.

Now that all is working OK has any one else experienced this and does any one know a different way to put it right without system restore ?

I would go to Tools/Options and reset displays.

Yes, I did not think to try that. I will remember this if it happens again.

Thanks.

You Where right I set my computer back to how it was before restore. It was still as before pressed the reset display button and all was as should be. So thanks for that. I think I got in a bit of a panic.

It was switched on, I often switch from TV to svideo while the lap top is connected while trying things at home, never had a problem in the past.

Any way found the cure now.

Thanks
