c:\Windows\system32\MSAE6d45.rra

I have Windows Vista and have been trying to install Hoster 4.06 and have not been able to successfully do so for the past week, I have had issue after issue. I have updated Windows, I have removed firewalls, I have made all changes needed to Vista before installation. I got further today than I have in the past however I am now to a point where it gives me c:\windows\system32\msae6d45.rra and I can not get past this please help.

This is what I found in an extinsive search on line:
Quote:

File extension RRA description:Some of files such as DLLs and EXEs, which may be in use ("locked")at install time, or during an update. When a file is locked but the installer wants to overwrite it, the new file is written to a semi-random name with a .RRA extension, and Windows is notified to rename the .RRA named file on next reboot to where it should have been installed.

Did you have the current Hoster open while trying to upgrade it? Try restarting the computer to get it to complete the install.

We do not have Hoster on this computer at all, we are not upgrading merely trying a first install. I have tried rebooting and it did not fix the error.

Find the file and see if you can delete it. Then retry install. Sounds like you have an incomplete install of some program and it may not necessarily have been Hoster. As I said this file name is a randomly generated name for a temporary file from the Microsoft Installer program.
