Bin files coming in with no name or title

I am new to this version. When I import songs from my hard drive some are coming in with no name or title only numbers... Why? How can I get the name and title there so I can see what it is?

Are the title and artist listed in the file name? If not that is why they are coming in that way.
Your file name needs to have Brand, DiskID-track, Artist name(s) and title with separators in between each in order to import without having to enter information. See the manual for some examples.
Then when you import you have to tell Hoster the order and what separator you have in between the sections.

Use to work ...

The name is on the file including the identity no. (Sound Choice SCand the no.) and the title. But when I open them in this new version, they are not always there. It used to work fine in last version.

List a couple of the filenames here, so we can see how they are listed.

Why don't I see my questions under New Posts?

They are in Spanish so all that shows up is the track no.

Never does the name show up only the title. ALL SONGS.

CUTS off half

Here is how a sample of what I see in the Write Disk Window:

uld've loved you anyway
_Still love you more

These are all by Trisha Yearwood

so it cuts off the beginning of the name and song...

I like the old version better....
you could see all songs names and singer even the spanish obscure ones

Type it in directly from the file not what you see in the import screen.

I think Dale meant list a couple of names you are trying to import. IE AB123-12 - Could've Loved You More - Trisha Yearwood

trying to import

The old software didn't have this problem. I didn't have to type the names of the song and artist. Just import them. This is a lot more work.

What happens when you print to the song book? Are they still cut off?

Do not know about...

I am not aware of the "songbook" ... how do you do that? Thanks for writing.

Rebecca this just struck me. "Write Disk Window"??? Are you talking about Hoster or Microstudio? If it is Microstudio which these lead me to believe then you are posting in the wrong forum and none of what has been posted here by the rest of applies to your problem.

RebecaEigen November 5th, 2008 11:38 AM

Yes...I wondered.

I wondered if the name had been changed. So how do I get to the correct forum?

ddouglass November 5th, 2008 11:47 AM

From the Main Page of the forum look for the sub-forum Microstudio Help. Click on it and post a new thread. I guess I just woke up this morning.
No the name didn't change. MTU produces several programs. Video Hoster is a computerized Karaoke Professional Hosting program. All your disks are stored on the computer so you don't have to carry all of those to do a show. Lightens your load and makes your show much more professional looking. If you are interested check the main MTU web page for more information.
