Laptop CD player "click"
I just downloaded the new Hoster system. Everything is working perfectly, no problems at all. I import my discs with a plextor drive i purchased from MTU, works flawlesly. I tried however to import a track from a "Singers Disc" to add to the playlist with my laptop CD drive. Hoster reconizes it as a good drive, it will import the singers disc track, and write it as a KMA file, and i can put it on the playlist. Everything is still okie dokie. I play the singers imported track, and all i get is a clicking sound? whats up with this? I disabled Autorun, and all other componets on my laptopfor the onboard CD/DVD drive????

This usually happens if the drive is not capable of reading CDG correctly. Some drives (especially laptop drives) will show as usuable when they really aren't.
Click on the CD\DVD Drives and when it opens click on Detect Again. It will ask you to insert a disc. This will test the actual read and tell you whether it can or not. Is the Plextor drive you purchased an internal or external? If it is an external then you can use it one the laptop to import singer's disks. |
Hi Doug,
Yes it's an external, and yes, it does import the singers tracks just dandy. I was just hoping not to have to carry anymore gear then i had to was all. So you think it's the drive? funny that it imports the song off the disc, and even writes the KMA file and the whole 9 yards.... strange. It plays the file it creates, only thing i get is click, click, click:? |
