Registry cleaner

ok ADMIN, you have spoke of putting a link out there for a good, free registry cleaner. I downloaded a registry cleaner from RegCure, and did a sweep. It came up with 800 sum odd files to be fixed and then said I had to register my program in order to fix for only $29.00 (IT was supposed to be a free download). Anyway, I deleted it off my computer. Is there a good, safe, and free registry cleaner, and what is safe to fix?

Thank you very much Jim and Beavis. I will give it a shot. Is it safe to run, as far as is there anything I shouldn't do?

Beavis October 30th, 2008 11:45 AM

i run the registry cleaner part of it (left column of the program) and havent had a problem.

scottccook October 30th, 2008 11:47 AM

ok i'll give it a shot here on my work computer before i try it on my karaoke computer. thanx

select registry on the left column, then at the bottom to middle select scan for problems, then to the lower right is fix selected issues. i dont save first i just delete all it finds.

you can save it first if you want to reveret back, but i havent had a problem in a few years with it.

wow, i just tried it on work computer (which has Regcure on it, and it had already performed a scan this morning) and it found another 639 problems. nice job on the heads up!!!!

This may not be the correct place to ask this question but here it goes. I am having trouble with 4.06 on my xp service pk3 computer. When I delete a song from the play list windows shuts down hoster. Would running the register cleaner help?

I had the playlist close 6 times in an hour last night. Not all shutdown was caused by deleting a song.

It would be better if you started a new thread. This way your problem would not be buried in another topic.
Not sure that a Reg Cleaner woiuld help. This sounds like something is not installed correctly or you are missing an update.
Have you done all the custom updates from Microsoft?
Try running Belarc Advisor (free) to make sure you have everything installed correctly.

You click on the Hoster Help forum to open it and up at the top you will see a "New Thread" button. Click on it and that will get you there.
