Out Of Sync Help!!

I am a Vista user with a brand new HP computer. Upgraded to new version 4.5. Few songs work fine BUT majority of the rest are out of sync. Some words are even out of order. How do I fix this? How do I downgrade to to a lower version. The only downgrade I see is 3.21. Where do I go to get the other versions? :m HELP!! I perform 5 nights a week and need help asap!!

If you are running into problems just switch to 3.4 located in your mtu folder. copy it to the desk top and you should be fine. MTU will get a handle on this, It just takes time and alot of scratching the head

i am not vista user and havent encountered the same problems you're having, so i wont be able to help you that much, the question they always asked was if you have all the updates, ( custom ) i think if you go to " my account " you should be able to see all the prior versions" if that doesn't work you might have to to go to mtu support and submit a ticket, since you got a new reg.# for 4.xxx version, you have to have your old reg. # in order for you to download the prior version. you have to make sure that you have the same email add. when you bought the prior version..good luck...

I thank you, but, when this problem occurred 2 weeks ago I thought it was my new computer, the Geek Squad took everything out like it was a new computer again. I have had Hoster for a couple yrs now, & when myother computer crashed I got a new 1. Now with the new updates from Hoster in an empty computer I have nothing to restore to.

Beavis October 4th, 2008 10:55 AM

have you done all windows custom updates ?

TONYBERNARD October 4th, 2008 10:59 AM

Per Geek Squad it was the Windows updates that caused a problem. As I see now the money paid to them was a waste and it was a hoster problem.

Beavis October 4th, 2008 11:02 AM

im not a big fan of the dork squad

Beavis October 4th, 2008 11:05 AM

the only update you dont want is netframe 3.5

Computer requirements

Computer Requirements

Your Computer must have the following before installing Hoster:
<TABLE style="MARGIN: 0px auto" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=10 width="85%" align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD width="80%">Computer Requirements</TD><TD align=middle width="20%" colSpan=2>All Hoster Models</TD></TR><TR><TD>Windows XP Pro/Home + SR3 or higher, not Windows 98/ME/2000. Hoster can run with Service Pack 2, but it is always recommended to use the latest Service Pack release, which at present is SP3.</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>Windows Vista + SR1. Install ALL upgrades when released.</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>Microsoft Media Player V9 or higher for XP, V11 for Vista. Hoster uses WMP to display the graphics/lyrics/video screens to play any still or motion video graphic images supported by WMP.</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>Windows XP and Vista: Hoster requires DirectX 9.0b or higher to run. See this Troubleshooting Guide to enable DirectX to run Hoster correctly and avoid the "Fire Events From Script Line 40" error.
</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>Microsoft Internet Explorer: XP needs IE6 or higher, Vista is IE7 (free click your Start button then "Windows Updates" and select CUSTOM [not Express])
Hoster 4.0x uses Internet Explorer to display the Show Display and the Preview Display.
</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>Computer RAM - Hoster can run with less memory, but Windows performance will suffer and some functions may take longer to execute. RAM is cheap and makes your computer run better.</TD><TD align=middle>1GB - WinXP
2GB - Vista</TD></TR><TR><TD>Processor Speed - Hoster can run on 800MHz processors, but Multiplex Key Change and Tempo Change all at the same time may require more. We recommend running with a 2GHz or faster processor since Hoster 4.xx uses the latest technologies for maximum professional appearance.</TD><TD align=middle>800MHz+
2GHz</TD></TR><TR><TD>A Network/Ethernet port or card - The computer must be connected to the Internet to install and register Hoster, but not to run.</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>A sound port or card</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>A dual display card - Highly recommended to reduce stress and pressure on you! More information</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>1024 x 768 display resolution - Highly recommended for maximum efficiency.</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR><TR><TD>A CDG Capable Reader Drive - MTU CDG Certified Burners</TD><TD align=middle>Yes</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
These are the Requirements for running Hoster on XP and Vista if you don't have these requirement my suggestion would be to first uninstall hoster then do the required updates then reinstall hoster if you have the .net 3.5 uninstall and install .net 3.0 this should help you if not the only other option is wait on MTU to get to your ticket.:w

Consider this, if it was a Hoster problem then everybody running Vista would be having this problem. Since it is only a few, then the problem comes back to the computer or Vista.
A couple things more not listed in above post that others have done to fix their problem with sync are to turn off the "Aero" display and use the Classic Windows display. The other item is to change from 32 bit color to 16 bit.
Also, if you are double clicking the singer's lyrics display to get it to your secondary display, try dragging it over and size it to fit rather than double clicking to go full screen.
According to the requirements your video card has to have a "minimum" of 32mb video memory. My recommendation is no less than 128mb. If you are using the on board video card this doesn't have any dedicated memory, but uses shared memory from the motherboard and this is not dedicated to the video.
