song intro title
 

since i downloaded upgraded earlier today the opening song title of sav/nikodo cd's is unreadable its as if the font has been changed to algerian or something its only the song title but you can't make out what the song is til it starts to play

This is a known problem. I don't know that it has been addressed yet, but it is known.

i remember reading something about this , but i think it's mostly a dk brand( i think )

Nikkodo is the Manufacturer, and Admin has acknowledged the code for 4.04 and now 4.05, was released without the fix, or additional code necessary to keep the Title Intro Window and Picture Graphics from appearing garbled. 3.4 has the additional code, and the title and pictures appear correctly.

DK was also having problems with the titles that loaded on a diagonal at the beginning, but that was fixed and hasn't reoccurred yet!

Hopefully this BMB/Nikkodo/Sav issue will be addressed in a not so far off upgrade!:s

yup you're right, tried to play a few of those disc/brands and the titles are garbled, not just from the start but also at the end,but the songs played w/o a problem..the only way you can tell the title of the song was by looking at the bottom of the viewers screen.

Your right it only happens on the front and the back. I don't mind the back. But the front freaks the singers out. They give you the "idiot look" and start crying about not being able to read the graphic. When song starts they are so frustrated that they screw up the start. Sometime I mess with them by hitting the skip button before the end of song title comes on. I then tell them that there was nothing wrong with the song. And suggest that they have had either too much or too little to drink. Sometimes they believe me..:):c:w

what i have on mine was the brand and the song title is garbled at the beginning, but you can still read the graphics/lyrics at the beginning of the song..i havent tried the 4.05 out there yet since i downloaded, the place i'm working at is being renovated..so this will give me sometime to play around with the new version..do you mtu will fixed it just like they did the dk...

i am going to import my sav's as a singers disc first ,and hopefull by doing this, i will ( maybe ) see if re-importing it to my hhd works....nope it didn't work..still garbled !!!!

It is because they do their title pages in a strange way (like diagonally bringing it in) that Hoster has problems with them. This can be fixed and they have fixed it for a couple other brands, but just not this one yet.

that's ok, it's not a big deal..garbled brand/title only stays on for a few seconds anyway..song lyrics are readable..it wont prevent me from doing a show, and i won't lose a gig from it..i'm pretty sure i have the same songs from another brand what ever garbled songs that was on those brands...but thanks anyway..4.05 is running great even with sp2..:)

Is Because they are cheap and I got tired of loading the version that about 10 of my singers have at home instead of SC or CB which are much better to me but not to them.:w:g

i don't know about that, i have some singers and some kj hosts that come to my show and some of them will chose those brands because they're comfortable with it.rather that chosing a brand that sounds better but wont be able to sing with .

I just upgraded to 4.06 and the SAV title screen are still garbled.

Yes Jim they have not fixed it yet. This is not quite as simple as it seems. Since it only deals with the Title page and ending credits and the words are correctly drawn this is a minor problem.

I was sent an email from support saying it hasn't been fixed yet in 4.06 but they are working hard on it.
You should go ahead and upgrade to 4.06 anyway as there are some benefits you can use and some other problems have been fixed.
You can do like MAD JIM told me to do, for the sav songs i just use the 3.40 version and they work fine.
Just open both of the hoster versions and switch to the 3.40 when you know you have an sav song coming up.

Jim, several singers sang with SAV's tonight & I just told them the song plays fine, so they didn't mind at all that the only the Title was scrambled. As long as the words were clear (and they are), they were happy.

Some Of The Old DK Problem Returned
 

Now the Old Problem with DK songs, where the Title Intro loaded diagonally at the beginning, will create some fuzzyness with the lyrics / graphics in the new version of 4.06. I'm running XP, but I'm sure Vista may be having the same problem.

Have you tried both players to see if it is the same?
