Lyric Syncronization

I have just installed my software and when I import songs and play the back the lyrics are being highlited a few seconds after they should be. The lyrics and the music are no longer properly syncronized.

What operating system (XP or Vista)?
What version of Microstudio?
Have you done the Custom Updates from Microsoft? I do not mean the Automatic or Express Updates as that only downloads and installs critical updates.

I am using windows XP and i have completed the custom updates with all hardware and software updates installed with the computer rebooted. I have the most current version of Micro Studio as I just purchased it on wednesday.

Thanks for your quick response.

SP2 or SP3?
When you say it is out of sync are you talking about in Microstudio's playback or from a burned CD?
Have you tried playing them directly from the CD in Microstudio?
Is Microstudio the only program running at the time?

SP 3 no other programs are running. Eirt from the hard drive or directly from the CD thru Micro Studio.

Sounds like your audio hardware accelleration may be running too hot.

Click START, RUN, type in DIRECTX, select SOUND 1.

In the DIRECTX FEATURES box, move the slider two notches to the left, click SAVE ALL FEATURES and EXIT.

See if that made a difference.

George it is dxdiag not directx.

Glad you got it working.

Sorry I led you down the garden path with that error. I guess I was thinking of getting to DIRECTX, and typed that in...mia culpa.

Thanks again Dale, for the fumble recovery.
