Site says Holster imports SCDG?
 

DDouglas has said Holster doesn't import SCDG and doesn't claim to. Why does it said on site "Add SCDG Files into your Songs Database for searching and playing<SUP>4.1"</SUP>?(Cut & pasted actual statment from site) It is not saying you have to use other software to convert files then import. Not being a smart#&& just don't understand?:?

That statement is from 4.0 stating what they planned to put in 4.1
However, problems arose, mainly because of Vista, so some of the features that were planned ... just didn't happen.
Since then, 4.02 and 4.03 have been put out addressing those problems. The time it has taken for MTU to get everything just "working" like advertised & as seemlessly as possible, unfortunately some of the features took a back burner. One thing that doesn't work in 4.03 is the MUX for videos. It doesn't import videos yet either.

Most of the features listed in the Manual should be working in 4.04, which is due out sometime in the next couple of days. There are tons of posts on the Forum you can read, to help you understand what's been going on with all versions of 4.x You can also read what each version actually does, rather than just what was planned for in future versions.
4.04 is being Beta tested now, and hopefully, all our prayers will be answered.:g

Hoster 4.04 will not have all of the planned additions because they are still trying to work out some of the kinks in what has already been implemented.
The plan is currently to allow SCDG files to be able to use the same Brand\DiscID to import using several BookIDs, automatically switching from one BookID to the next after 99 files have been imported. That way you don't have to break the files into blocks of 99 and enter all the data yourself for all after the first. That is the only thing they are adding. There has never been any plan for Hoster to be able to extract the individual songs from an SCDG .dat file directly into Hoster.
Currently and for many versions before you have been able to import those files but you could only use the DiskID of the SCDG for the first 99 songs. After that you had to make-up a new DiskID for Hoster to start a new BookID for the next 99. Since it is not the correct ID then Hoster has no information about it and cannot fill in the information.
Conclusion, you will still have to convert those SCDG tracks to either MP3+G or BIN to import them.

Thanks Skybird for the complete reply and added features you mentioned. I wasnt raming down anyone's throat the "Able to use SCDG files" I said I was NOT being a wise#%%. I am just excited at the future possibilty of using my 1500 song SCDG Magic Tracks CD, frankly. I hope it gets worked out but I am very happy with what I have.

The reason I didn't understand was it was advertised as going to be on 4.1 and I have 4.3 so I thought it was there somewhere and just wasnt understanding the conversation. If I had seen the thread you attached from DDouglas I would have known the story. I did search for info on the SCDG and didnt find that thread. Sorry you had to reply all over again. I will try and dig deeper next time. I am very happy with what I have on Holster I am not complaining. Thanks again fo the time and info.

Actually you don't have 4.3, you have 4.03. Since the trailing zero's tend to get dropped on these things it's easy to get confused. I still do occasionally.
