Songs Database Question
 

Before Importing new songs in 4.03, I want to know if I should "check" or "leave unchecked" the box Under TOOLS saying to Include the Songs Database when filing in the Artist and Title lists in "Edit Songs", "Import....." dialogs.

It is unchecked by default. If the database is affected by all the above functions, what would be the purpose of leaving it unchecked?:?

It is not the database that is affected. You are choosing whether the list of dropdown titles and artists for editing the track entries will use only the Bucket entries or both Bucket and Songs databases to build those lists. The difference is the availability of entries and increases/decreases the amount of time when opening the import utility for those lists to build for use.

Sorry, I don't understand. When I have gone into Edit Songs before, its simply because I need to correct a spelling mistake or something like that. Why would I even want to use the drop down list? What is that for?

Dale, you don't need to explain this further. I read the Manual 3 times about this function and I can see where this could be useful. And I also see that I can "uncheck" the box so these lists won't show.
