do not have legible lyrics
i installed 4.01 on my hp Pavillion dx8000 laptop with xp pro and 1 gb ram and I only have the stationary small display.
My old eyes cannot see the smaller screen where did it go after just one song? |
Are you using two screens as in a show or just the computer screen?
Did the whole thing dissapear or just the lyrics part of it? If you will look in the Tools Menu ther is a command to Reset Displays. That should bring it back into view on your computer. |

Billyo, you can make the Preview screen floating and increase its size to make it easier to read. You can set the font size for the playlist as well if you are having trouble reading that.
I think his problem is he has lost the singers display and not the preview though. |

I tried to reset
I hit the reset and , no luck.
I closed Hoster and re-entered, no luck. I rebooted and still no luck. I made the preview float and resized so I can play with it. I just installed this last night to test at home, so I did not have the external monitor set up. It worked fine for a few songs and just blipped off the screen. On my HP Pavillion dv 8000 laptop I run: AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-40 2.19 Ghz 2 GB RAm ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 200 Series I have never had problems previously. I am making sure I learn the new program prior to deleting my desktop version and installing to my new Sony Laptop. I decided to bring two computers to shows for my own comfort. Love Hoster, sure it is just a small glitch. Bill |
forgot to mention
Yes, I have the preview screen and lost the singer's display
|
Reset Displays should have brought it back to computer screen. If that won't work then you will need to delete the Hoster setting in the registry. There is a FAQ in the Support section of the MTU web site that explains step by step how to do this.

REGEDIT Worked
Thanks so much.
I went to the support FAQ and followed te directions and it seems to work fine. I do not have time to do a full test right now, but I have my singer's display again. I am surpised I got help with this on a Saturday morning. As always, you guys are the best. Bill |
I'm just a Karaoke Porofessional like all the rest of you in here. I am not an employee of MTU. Most of the advice/help you will get in here comes from people who have used the programs a while and usually have a good understanding of how computers work and are not MTU employees either.

you can always count on Dale and the rest of 'em !!!!

Thanks even more!
I read VIP and saw VP
Thanks for your kindess. |
sskydiverr, I'm sorry you had this problem. Thank you for posting it.
I'm shocked the Tools menu "Reset Displays" button didn't make your Show Display re-appear. That is EXACTLY what it's function was to do... make a disappeared Screen re-appear. :e :r We'll re-address why it didn't work. It's supposed to emulate the FAQ instructions related to deleting Registry Keys, but save you from having to enter the Registry. :s |
Thanks ADMIN
Thanks again
