Glen

I just downloaded Hoster 4.01....How do I get the Tempo Change to worK?

ddouglass July 23rd, 2008 08:24 PM

Wait for it in 4.02 or when MTU gets it working.:gThe Tempo change was giving problems so it is delayed at least until they get the Vista parts working.

Thanks...........I was so looking forward to that feature. I guess I'll just have to wait.....Thanks again.

I am with you, but as they say one step at a time.:g

So far (today) I am disappointed..:f..Putting my backup drive in to run the old version for now....:r

You don't have to do that. Hoster 3.4 (3.321) is included with the install of version 4. Look in the Hoster folder under Program files and find Hoster34.exe. Create a shortcut and put it on your desktop. That gives you both versions.
What is disappointing you about Hoster 4.01? What problems are you having?

V.4.01 that I just downloaded locks up when I change song lists that I have created, the bottom half of the lyrics are not showing, like the marquee at the top is pushing them down. I'd like to be able to git rid of the marquee when I don't want it showing. Maybe I just just frustrated yesterday...BTW I am running Windows XP....Thanks for your help....

The Marquee can be hidden, look at the Show Display settings. If that isn't enough to clear the lyrics area then set the SND to show fewer singers or change the font size of the SND items and that should clear the area so all of the words show.
The various lock-ups are a fact of life currently, but MTU is working at getting all the bugs out. Are you running IE7 and SP3 as recommended? Also have you done the Custom updates from Microsoft as has been recommended for quite a while now? These are all things that will help smooth out the operation.

I thought I tried hiding the marquee but it didn't help...I did so much yesterday afternoon trying to make it work, I probably confused myself....I don't have any singers listed yet...I'm not sure what is the IE7 and the SP3 you are describing.....I'll check the other suggestions too......I am pretty sure I have the updates but I'll double check that too....Thanks so much again. I fell like a dummy when I can't get something to do what I want.....AHHHHH.....:s

The most common internet surfer is Internet Explorer #6, which is what you may have now, there is a newer one called Internet Explorer #7,which you will need to get. The SP3 stands for Windows XP service pack 3 upgrade; you most likely have service pack 2 now. You need to go to the Windows updates site to check and see if you have them, and then can obtain them there, if you already haven't. Hope I was of some help to you.

I got SP3 loaded and it seems to help......I haven't checked it all out yet but so far so good.....Thanks for the help.....Can't wait till the "tempo" update is out....I was wanting that feature the most.....Thanks again.....
