Playback Offset

I got Hoster 4 and I noticed that the lyrics with all my songs are falling behind like a second or so but when I use the Hoster 3.4 they are in perfect sync.

I have a HP 9060us with XP, it is a good PC but the internal sound card is awful, so I use an USB Turtle Beach Audio Advantage as an external sound card. I know that MTU's reason to eliminate this feature in the new Hoster was something about the graphic card and their speed but at least in my case that is a feature I am going to miss because of the reason stated above.

Can someone in the forum have any answer to this? Any help would be truly appreciated.

Forgot to tell that the issue doesn't happen all the time. I have to load Hoster and try a song if it happens then I simply close it and load it again until it doesn't work with the delay.

I have the computer up-to-date.

I'm curious:r
Did you upgrade from a pervious version, or is this a "new" install of 4.0 on a computer that did not have it before?

It is an upgrade

Have you checked for driver updates for your graphics card either from HP or from the manufacturer of the card?
With 4.0 and above the offset wouldn't work anyway because of the changes made.

Did you try hitting restart at the very first song. If all other songs are in sync after the initial one time restart it may be the WMP.

The Restart button will restart the song in sync, which is faster than restarting Hoster. Of course we are working on getting everything in sync for all users, but that is going to take a bit more to figure out what is causing the out-of-sync conditions.

We expect to make 4.02 Beta 2 available to our testers before noon tomorrow. It has all Vista fixes that we now know of, including keeping audio/lyrics in sync. There may be some bugs to work out of errant code, but the core fixes are now done. :g :g :g

We MAY... have Vista release as early as next Monday... but that's not a promise, mind you. :s :)
