are we allowed to share sound effects here ??

I think it would be a great idea. Maybe Admin could set-up a separate section under the Hoster part for those who want to share their items for the Insta-buttons. Anything posted there would have to be small enough to be accepted in the forums or a link to another location for it. How about it Admin??

Not trying to speak for Admin but it seems like it would be a headache for MTU if they have to police the postings for what is copyrighted and what might be public domain.

good idea, as my dj program does precisely this and it works quite well.

Google and you will find anything you want. Ie: applause.wav.......gong.wav..... laughter.wav. I even made a generic announcement.wav.:g

I have googled a whisper wav, and have come up with nothing! I can't find one anywhere, anyone have anything? I'll trade any wav I've got for it hehe!:e

Just like karaoke songs, sound fx don't grow on trees. Someone has to create them, and sometimes they copyright and sell them. Sometimes they even get royalties for FX used in movies and TV.

Look at Youtube, they are always being sued or threatened to be sued by copyright holders, and they are constantly deleting copyrighted and objectionable material.

you have to prove you created the exact sound, with nothing really to gain by going after the little guy over an applause is totally not worth the time.

plus, sound effects are not like karaoke. :)

just like Mp3 is not, you can download Mp3 but not karaoke legally.

there are lots of sound effects albums that you can get at a record store, they are not expensive

I got one for 7.99 and has lots of great effects
