Laptop Crashed

G'day all,

My laptop crashed 6 days ago and the warranty repair people were not able to resurrect any of my programmes including Hoster and the 6000 odd songs I had in my HD. I had previously registered Hoster on my desktop and the second copy as you can guess went onto my laptop which is the one I use at my gigs. I tried to put Hoster back on my laptop but, even though I provided my original registration number I was not able to as MTU think I am trying to load it onto a third computer, probably because the name of the computer has changed. How can I fix this problem?

Go to the MTU web page and click on Support. Send a Tech Support email from that page to have your registration reset. Be sure to include what happened, your registration email address(if it is different from what you are using now) and your computer name if you have that.

It's now 5th June and I haven't received anything of note from MTU as yet. I was hoping that it was an easy problem to rectify but I'll wait a little longer. They strongly advise against sending a further e-mail message about this problem. Hope I get some help soon.

Lloyd (Feeling lost with Hoster)

Did you receive a confirmation email with a ticket number? This is automatic. If you didn't receive it then MTU email is being blocked either by your ISP or your email program. Check your Spam filter and make sure MTU.com is allowed.
Try to install and see if you are still getting rejected.

Yes I did thanks Dale and they seem to think that the problem has been resolved and that I installed Hoster on the 06/08/08 which is today here in Australia. I've advised them that their information is incorrect and will await a reply. Going back to using disks is no fun at all, but necessary 'til this problem is resolved.
