Go to:

Start> My Computer

then go to the folder on your external where you keep you KMA files and look in the bottom left corner. It should tell you how many KMA files are in the folder.

To prevent a song from showing up in your songbook, you have to remove the KMA file from your Songs Database using the Edit Songs feature in the Tools drop down menu.

We will have the ability to keep a KMA (or video file) in the database and not have it show up in the songbook in 4.0. :c

I Hope This helps.

Are you checking the "Print" file for the songbook or looking using the search or looking at the Songs database file?
When you "Hide" songs they should not show in the print version, but will still be listed in the Songs database and will show in the search and the dropdown list of bookids.

How are you removing them and what are you doing that you find they are still there?
