Millennium P750 video card for 3 displays

Any of you guys use the Matrox Millennium P750 triple head?
Do you use PURE VIEW drivers?

In my "dream world" this would be the setup

DVI to TV out running the singer's display
DVI to dual VGA
VGA #1 for KJ
VGA #2 to VGA to TV converter with 3 "windows" running to multiple tvs via rf converter
window 1 SND with songs listed
window 2 Notepad with entire rotation list
window 3 using PURE VIEW drivers to duplicate singer's display

ANy comments or suggestions?

MTU has made major improvements to the Singer Display portion of Hoster 4.0. I can see where one of the new "Display" features will eliminate the need for one of your monitors. :w

If you haven't purchased the video card wait and look at Hoster 4.0's new display features. :c

Good stuff on the horizon!

General Help:
Head #1 is your MAIN Monitor.
Head #2 uses the DUAL VGA "Y" connector.

Head #2 = DVI to DUAL "Y" VGA.
It is HEAD #2, "Y" VGA connector designated #1, where you would put
Notepad and any other extra programs.
It is HEAD #2, "Y" VGA connector designated #2, that you hook to the
Singers Display.

Assuming you will be configured for 2 displays, Independent mode + 1 Feature.
Under Video Playback settings, you would enable "Use Video Overlay" and "Use PureVideo/DVDMax.

Comment:
Keep in mind that the P750 only has 64Meg of onboard RAM. You would need to buy the Parhelia to get 128Meg. Also, the P750 is ONLY AGP. Even if you have a MB with an AGP Slot, you will be SOL if the MB fails as MB's with AGP Slots are almost non-existant.

Suggestion:
With the advent of the 24" Widescreen monitors, both Hoster and Notepad can exist side-by-side without overlap. Just re-size Hoster to the left.

Why bring an extra monitor when a 24" Widescreen will work perfectly.

Of course, who knows what 4.0 will look like and if it can be re-sized.

For me, 3.xxx does everything I need it to do, with respect to a 24" Widescreen.

Good point. I hadn't considered the extra load on the video card. It's been so long since I needed to worry about that, I had forgotten. I have a nice projector I don't even use and thought I could do something extra with it for the audience.

I like the widescreen idea for the singer. I haven't done the notepad thing for fear of making the words too small for the singer. Your suggestion will accomplish everything I wanted with less additional outlay except the monitor for the singer. I can probably get one with an ATSC tuner fairly cheap.

That's why I use the forums. 2 heads are better than one.
