My Plextor PX-716UF external drive has died

I have been using this external drive for several years to import CDG Disks into Hoster. The self-test and a Plextor Customer Service rep. say the drives lazer is shot. Plextor says they are no longer making CDG compatible drives. Does anyone know of a good replacement external drive???

Most current DVD drives will work now thanks to MTU changing the format used by Hoster. If you want one that is certified MTU does sell tested and certified drives in both external and internal forms. I believe it is an Optiarc, but don't quote me on that.:g
