Hoster 5.20.02 some songs not playing correctly
 

Hi

I have Hoster 5.20.02 on my Dell laptop and Hoster 5.50.04 on my HP one. I\'ve stumbled across one of my Sunfly tracks that won\'t play properly on my Dell laptop, but plays fine on the HP one using the same external HDD. I have my karaoke tracks saved on 3 external HD drives as 2 are used as backups. All 3 HDD won\'t play the song correctly on the Dell laptop, but when I connect to my HP they\'re fine. I decided to uninstall and reinstall Hoster on the Dell but it made no difference. The Dell is a newer laptop and has played fine, and it plays other random songs I picked at random to test. I can\'t get why all of a sudden just these few songs that I\'ve noticed are playing up. I don\'t want to pay to upgrade as firstly I have no guarantee that will work and I only use the Dell as a spare at home so don\'t use it enough to justify $69/£52 even with the 10% currently being offered online. Does anyone have any suggestions to what else I can try or a reason why it\'s doing it?

I\'m running Windows 10 home, Intel Pentium CPU 4415U 2.30GHz - 16GB Memory on the Dell and Windows 10 Pro, Intel COre CPU M520 2.40GHz - 8GB Memory on the HP.

When you say its not playing properly, is it the audio or the lyrics that is affected or both or not loading at all ?
Also what format are the songs in ? Example zip, mp3+g , video or kma impoted direct from disc, etc?

The screen starts to load and is corrupted colours are missing then the first screen of text starts appearing over the title screen. The music seemed to play ok but I didn\'t listen far in as the screen was already corrupt from the very beginning. The tracks I looked at were loaded from a disc and imported as KMA. I\'ve attempted uploading screen shots if it helps. The first 2 JPG 8161 and 8162 are the corrupted ones. The others 8163 and 8164 is what it should look like, and does on the HP laptop, if that helps?

I think it’s a graphics driver problem.
You could first try making changes under your display settings or if you have accelerated graphics Try some different settings like turning accelerated graphics off if that is supported on your machine.
Which brand of graphics are on the Dell?
You could go to the Dell Update and check for upgraded driver.
If you have Nvidea, ATI or Radeon graphics try going direct to their web site and check for updated drivers.

Roy,

If you remember we had something like this happen and it was later found to be because of the new Gen8 processor.

If I remember correctly, it took a change to Hoster to compensate and you have to upgrade to correct it.

but Sharons Dell computer is CPU 4415U 2.30GHz which is not an 8th generation.
No harm in her trying to update her graphics card first.

I remember having this same problem myself with Sunfly and Nutech brands, can’t remember what I did to correct it but pretty sure I changed the graphics driver.
I also tried version 5.40 that Sharon has.
