Plextor 712A
 

I have just purchased a Plextor PX-712A...I upgraded Microstudio to 2.6 and this drive is still not supported. When will the new drive be supported???

I am sorry we did not yet receive an updated driver for the 712 drive. We get updated drivers about every 3 months, and they are behind right now. We had to release 2.604 for other reasons. As soon as we get the new drivers, we will release 2.605. :s

It's my understandinfg that Plextor is about 3-4 month behind relating to the PX-712A's drivers. I hope I am wrong.

We should have the drivers for this drive in late June, if the drivers are on Schedule.

Anyword on wether that will include the 712-SA version as well for us SATA lovers?

When we get the drivers, it will be in Microstudio 2.605... if we don't have to wait too long.

It is out of our hands, so don't hound us for it. The NORMAL way to get this info is to read the News Page for the announcement. :w

We recieved the drivers Yesterday and should receive a 712 drive today to test with. There are two other upgrades we must add in Microstudio 2.605, which could take a few weeks to add and test. Our target is to release in July.

Your news page states that you have released an upgrade that supports the Plextor 712 drive. I do not currently own Microstudio software. Is this version available yet to purchase?

Microstudio 2.605 was released a week or so ago.

This drive does work fine. You must have version 2.605 or higher of Microstudio. I would only use 2.610, but this drive does work and is supported. Make sure that you have a version installed that supports it on your system, or it will not show for Karaoke.
