Is KHPro 4.105 compatible with microstudio 2.613?

Hey All,
Just a note.
I used KHPro today with great expectations only to be frustrated.
I downloaded lyrics for John Prine's "Ain't Hurting Nobody".
Edited them in notepad and imported them together with the vocally reduced Vogone music.
A breeze, easy tune with a little rhythmically tapping.
Exported the resulting file to bin. now you can't export a cdg file.
First problem in Microstudio "Bin. extentions may not contain cdg karaoke information and may not play or write properly"
Mine did, I just created them hadn't I?
Went ahead and burnt a disc.
Played it in Microstudio, sound was distorted and horror some of the lines of text were missing making the whole thing out of sync.
Checked KHPro yes I had done everything correctly and everything scanned.
Burnt 3 more discs at varying speeds and on different media.
Same result every time.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I ran it again with the old version of KHPro, exported to cdg. everything perfect.
Is there a glitch somewhere?
Regards from across the pond

Haven't had that problem here.
Is the disc you burned also distorted when you play it in a CDG player?

Have you played the disc you made? The problem may be in Microstudio's player as we found a problem last month that may explain what you hear.

I'll have our staff review your post tomorrow.

Hey All,
Yes the disc was distorted and the text was missing on a regular CDG player,
Fraid I slung the discs, so no longer have them.
Other discs I did before I got the new version of KHPro burnt and played OK with Microstudio 2.613, as did the one I made after the failures with the old version of 4.103.
I did used to notice that the sound in Microstudio can be distorted if other programmes are running in the background, so I tend to shut everything else down when I use it now.
Regards from across the pond.
Garry.

Thanks for the additional facts. It is especially interesting that you report that using KHPro 4.103, making a .cdg file and burning it with Microstudio 2.613 made a disc with songs that play as expected.

We'll take a look at this today. We've not had this reported before to my knowledge, so I'm at a loss what to suggest.

I hope to have some facts to post today from our evaulation. :w

I have tested this using KHP 4.105. I created a a song with the lyrics, I then exported this to .bin. I then took the file into Microstudio 2.613 and burned it to a CD using a Plextor PX-760A drive. It worked perfect. The file plays perfect on a Pioneer 2 disc Karaoke Player. I also played this CD back under Microstudio 2.613 and it worked perfect also.

This has to be something in your computer that is causing this. Can you tell us if you have all of the Windows Updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Also, I would uninstall KHP 4.105 from your computer. Redownload the File from our website. Then reinstall the Program. Try it again and see if it will work this time.

Garry, please do as MTUSUPPORT suggests. We can only point a finger at the KHPro 4.105 not functioning correctly.

Post back here what you find. We want to get to the bottom of this, and get you running. You are doing what MTU products should allow you to.

I think I goofed!!!!
Did exactly what I did on the first failure.
Placed lyrics and music and synchronized them.
I edited the lyrics screen and where there had been a break during an instrumental passage I pulled the lyrics up.
This is where I think I lost the text.
I tested that theory out and yes it appeared to be right.
The one I tried with 4.103 and microstudio 2.613, I didn't do any adjustments, so basically there wasn't anything to go wrong.
Looking back I'm sure I had never adjusted the lyrics in this way before.
Always doing all the adjusting before I imported lyrics to KHPro.
I can only say sorry for wasting everybody's time.
I at least have learned a basic lesson.
Many thanks for all the help given so quickly and freely.
When others gripe occassionally I can vouch for all the great guys and gals out there trying to make these forums informative, useful and valuable.
Regards from across the pond.
