Remote Hoster Lyrics Monitor Display
 

Greetings,
Does anyone out there have a solution that supports the display of Hoster software lyrics on a monitor screen via “WiFi” usage, that is, without cable wiring from the laptop to the device?

My own experience was not 100% success.

Worked fine in the Home but got the odd freezing or lag of lyrics on occasions and my second monitor was only 15ft away.
It may be that when at a gig there are loads of people with cell phones :f

I used an early version of Screenbeam from this company the newer ones may have improved but I never tried them: https://www.screenbeam.com/products/screenbeam-mini2/

Newer windows 10 computers that have Miracast only need the Screenbeam not the kit.

If you want to try it and find it may have improved I would be interested to know myself.

When using it on a computer with Miracast capability You can still run other screens from your existing HDMI at the same time so effectively showing 3 screens in Display settings.

I have a question. Is the Actiontec device you mention in this YouTube video needed in addition to the device you provided a link for in your original email response? (That is, https://www.screenbeam.com/products/screenbeam-mini2 )

If both devices are needed to support third monitor display, can you please provide a link for the device you mention in this YouTube video?

No, the one I have is no longer available from the manufacturer, The nearest new model to it is the Actiontec 750 receiver prices around $200

You can find some the same as mine on ebay but make sure you are buying the receiver, not the transmitter or the extender.

If your computer supports wireless display you do not need the transmitter. As I showed in the video if you open display settings on your computer and scroll down you should see an option to connect to a wireless display, if you don’t see the option then you will need to purchase the transmitter as well.

The link I gave you previously is for the mini version2, will still work without receiver if your computer supports wireless display, I don’t know how it compares to my version but comparing the price difference of the mini 2 to the Actiontec 750 model I should think there would be an improvement.
