installation problems

I purchased the microstudio2.517. I could not get the program to work. It would not show any drives detected. I know my burner is compatible . This was purchased in May. I removed the program and tried to download it again. When I tried to download my personal link, it downloaded an upgraded version(2604). However when I tried to install this program, I got a message to insert floppy disk into drive A, and would not continue to install. I
have a new Dell computer but it does not have a floppy drive A.
How do I get this program to install and what do I do if the drives
are not shown? My burner is a Plextor px-w5224ta that I purchased from Microstudio.

Connect to the Internet to register

To install MTU software requires registering over the Internet. Be sure you have your computer on-line before you try to install Microstudio 2.604. It will automatically detect if you are on-line. If not, it allows you to register via a Floppy Disc to take and complete the registration on another computer that is on-line.

If you are not on-line, and have no Floppy disc drive, how did you ever get 2.517 to work? Anyway... you will need to get a USB floppy drive (under $30) and plug it in to complete your registration.

As to the drives not showing, please read the manual section on the Menu and Commands, and the Detect Drive command. If you don't see your Plextor, then click the ASPI Driver... command and change your ASPI driver.

Post back in this thread if everything goes OK and you are running... :w or not. :f
