During installation and after that at start of MICROEDITOR 5.5 I am getting the message "you need a new Version of MTUMSND.VXD". Then it terminates.

Where can I get one?

Armin,
What you need to do is just reboot the computer once the install is done. This should then allow it to open no problems.

Let me know what you find.

I am still getting the same message. Then a window open "can't access MicrosoundDevice".

I let 5.4 installed and this version runs OK. May that be the reason?

What version of Windows are you running? If you are trying to install 5.5, you need to uninstall 5.4, reboot, install 5.5, reboot. Then it should run ok, once you have rebooted.

I am using win98se.
After deinstalling 5.4 and 5.5 and reboot.
Installing 5.5 I am getting still the same message.

Even during deinstallation of 5.5 the message appears.

Today I got the confirmation from my creditcard company that you charged for upgrade 5.4 to 5.5

Until today I could not brought it to run.

So I needed to reinstall my previous version 5.4

I hope you can find the reason why 5.5 does not run as written in my last post.

I have found out what the problem is. The version 5.5 will not run under Windows 98. This version will only work under XP or 2000, so there is no way to make it run, as of now. I will get this fixed as fast as I can. I will then contact you about getting the new version to you.

MicroEditor5.5 for WIN98?
 

Dear Bryan,
I think that WIN98se is no more a task for MTU because you did not send me any information about ME5.5 for WIN98.

I would like to use the new possibilities in 5.5 I am now planning upgrade of my current system to XP.

I have MicroCD 2.4.0.0 and MicroTools 2.0a. Do these programms run under XP?

My current system is formatted with PartionMagic. Do I need PartionMagic in XP too?

Currently I would like to stay with WIN98! (Never change a running system..) But when MTU does not deliver 5.5 for it I have to upgrade...
