Re: Music Files

Do you have other MP4 tracks that do play ?

If not then it’s probably that you don’t have the right codecs installed.

I don’t have any other mp4 songs on my song list. I did purchase one from the hoster program in mp4 format but does not play. I’m not super computer savy so if you can help out I would appreciate it much.
Thank You

Re: Music Files

To play mp4 type tracks you have to install Codec pac.
This is printed in the latest Manuel:
Install Video Codecs
You need to install Video Codecs on your computer to beable to play different types of Video files in Hoster.

Download the Video Codec Pack from: http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_me...k_download.htm

Make sure that you click on where it states: Download [K-Lite Mega Codec Pack X.xx] where X.xx is the version number.
Save this file to your computer and then double click on it to run it, Follow the onscreen instructions.
Once installed, you will beable to play video files in Hoster.

If you need more help let us know your Hoster version and Windows version.

Re: Music Files

Also if I may ask. I have the latest hoster video program. Songs that have already played on my screen cannot be replayed. I use to be able to do that. How do I set it so songs on my screen that have been played are able to play again?

Re: Music Files

There are 2 ways to do that.
1) open settings/playlist Tab/ second box down Allow played songs to be played again. You would also have to have the box above that ticked as well keep song after play.
Then just click the song and play button and status will change.
2) providing you have keep songs after play box ticked you can also right click on the song and from the dropdown window select Mark Song as/ Ready. You can do this even if allow played songs to be played again is unticked.

I Ran into another issue here on hoster. I purchased music from the hoster site and did not download automatically into hoster like it did the last time I purchased music. This time it was sent as an email to download from there. I am unable to figure out how to download it into my hoster.
Also, I cant make the screen with the words to fit to my whole tv.
Any help would be great.

Re: Music Files

Was the song from Karaoke.net ?
Only songs from Karaoke.net will auto index, Karaoke-version or any other download sites have to be manually imported into Hoster.

There was a glitch recently with the auto indexing of songs brought about by changes that karaoke.net made when they increased their price from $1.99 to $2.45. The auto indexing problem has now been fixed.

If you open the Buy Songs/Karaoke.net dialog, press the Refresh Songs button then log into your account, you should then be able to tick the box for show only purchased songs.

If your song shows in that list tick the select box on the left and you will probably see a pop up message telling you that you will not be charged again for this song, now press the Buy Now button and it should auto index this time.

Karaoke version or any other suppliers songs have to be manually imported into Hoster via the Import Songs/Index song files Dialog.
I recommend creating a separate folder on your music Hard drive named something like “Downloaded Tracks” and place all your other downloaded tracks into it. Then brows to that folder from within the index songs files dialog, if you are importing video types then when the explorer window opens make sure the Files of types window is either showing All types or mp4 else you wont see your downloads. Most of the instructions appear to the left as you progress.
If your still stuck let us know.

I’ll answer your other question in a separate reply.

This can be any number of things, can you be a bit more specific, If you are able to attach a picture of what your seeing would help.
Is this only happening when displaying video types ?
If so is it just black bars either side ?

Or is the video either showing small in size left or off centre of the main window ?

If the problem is with all types of karaoke songs, is it cutting off part of the picture ?
If so it is probably a setting on your TV.

As all TVs are different it’s hard to give instruction for this but there is usually a picture size settings like 4.3, 16.9, Full, Fit Or Zoom, may be others, some allow you to actually specify horizontal and vertical size. I can only say experiment with the Tv settings.
