Are you certain you've clicked on the Karaoke CD+G block?
If so, are you using the Plextor for both the read and write drive, and not trying to use a cdrom drive to read. Cdrom drives don't read cdg.

What version of Microstudio are you running? Click the Help Menu, About and it will tell you. You must have Microstudio V. 2.400 for this drive to be supported, if you have a prior version such as 2.315, this is the problem. What you will then need to do is upgrade to 2.400. You can do this by clicking on the download link in your original email from the purchase, if you no longer have this then you will need to purchase the upgrade from the website for $15. Make sure you keep this email, if you no longer have it. Because there is a charge to replace it.

If you have the link, the filename when downloaded will show that it is 2.315, but it really is 2.400 when you install it.

Don't believe I ever said Plextor wasn't compatible with WIndows.
Anyway, glad you're up and running.

Glad you are up and running. I too have the Plextor 4824 and it works wonderful for me with Microstudio. I also have XP. You will love it just has much as I do. Now only if I could get my kpro 4.008 working. I would be a happy camper.
