Created new songs.mdb
Deleted the songs.mdb file (after backing it up) then did a new build. The new mdb file is there but it has the old file date (date of program install). Why does it not show the updated date?
A recreate of the song book rtf shows the new date. Also, the songbook count and the database record counts are not equal. Is there a tool to find the discrepancies? Thanks |
Re: Created new songs.mdb
What was the file path of the Songs.mbd that you deleted ?
Which version of Hoster are you running ? |
Re: Created new songs.mdb
C:\\ProgramData\\mtu.com\\Hoster
v 6.01.5 |
Re: Created new songs.mdb
When you deleted it was Hoster still open ?
Only if you start Hoster with a missing Songs.mdb it normally rebuilds it automatically. |
Re: Created new songs.mdb
Hoster did create a new songs.mdb as expected but I am asking why the date of the file is not today\'s date (which is when I did this). Thanks.

Also, should I check with a programmer over on the new features form with this post?

I just rebuilt my own database and it shows todays date. Also the total of songs matches exactly to the .rtf file in the songbook. Are you sure the database completed the rebuild only if it is cancelled it restores the previouse database. The songbook count can depend on settings in the songbook dialog. For instance do you have any items set in the excluded items list or the date limit settings ? I attach pics of my Songs.mdb date and Songs.mbd total & Songbook.rtf total. All match. |
