Operating Instructions for Dummys
 
MTU DISC COPY INSTRUCTIONS

(After hardware installation)

1. Power on computer<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
2. Power on CD+G Drive<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
3. Place CD to be copied in tray<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
4. Cancel pop-up, click Microstudio icon on desktop<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
5. Click “Import Tracks”<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
6. Make sure CD + G drive is selected<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
7. Enter a disk ID where prompted (usually an identifier of source CD)*<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
8. Click “Read Disk”<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
9. Click as many tracks as you wish to copy (hold down Control key to select multiple)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
10. Click “Import Selected Tracks” and wait for them to be imported<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
11. Click “Close” and remove source CD<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
12. Right Click on each new song, hit “rename,” and insert song name*<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
* NOTE: Use no punctuation marks throughout!!!!<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
13. Drag songs to Play List on right hand side of screen<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
14. Select songs to be copied on blank CD by holding Control key<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
15. Load blank CD and click “Add to Write List – a bell sound will occur<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
16. Click “Write Disk” on top masthead <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
17. Select proper disk length in minutes and make sure two minute gap is on<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
18. Click “Write CD” and wait for completion<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
NOTE: Highlight all songs and click “Delete” on Write Disk screen<o:p></o:p>

We don't always think about the "TOTAL" steps as you have.

I'll add this to the manual for others to use also. :w
