S-Video to VGA Adapter Recommendation
1 Attachment(s)
Greetings!
Me again. :) My current configuration uses S-Video cables and in order to incorporate a newly acquired laptop I need an S-Video to VGA adapter that is easy to use. I recently purchased one that I thought would be acceptable (see attached), however, due to pin alignment, it seems as though I would have to apply excessive pressure to connect the adapter and I do not want to risk pin damage to my S-Video cable my using it. Does anyone have an alternative recommendation? Any and all advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gwen |
Re: S-Video to VGA Adapter Recommendation
Is it the VGA end that won't match your computer or the S-video that won't match your existing s-video lead ?

Re: S-Video to VGA Adapter Recommendation
Roy,
Thanks for your response. I am having trouble fitting the S-video portion of the adapter into my existing S-video cables. I am wondering if there are any other options for this need that are better suited, fit-wise. Regards, Gwen |
Re: S-Video to VGA Adapter Recommendation
Are there more pins on your existing s-video lead ? There are 2 types of s-video leads 4 pin & 7 pin as shown hear: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=s-...w=1117&bih=591
Is your existing the 7 pin type ? Do you not have a 4 pin video lead to try it with ? I think the 4 pin is the most common. Otherwise you will have to find a 7 pin version of adapter, or just connect via the ordinary AV out yellow with a normal rca video lead. |

I have a 4 pin s-video lead.
