I still have not yet seen a version, for myself to test yet. This was pushed back a little bit, as the Microstudio code was much more difficult to remove the Old, that is tied to the ASPI drivers and replace it with the new.

I am not sure as to when this should be ready for testing.

after demo download, microstudio wont open

i have had microstudio for a couple of years now and it has always worked well. i recently tried to download the "HOSTER" demo from mtu.com and now i cant open my microstudio.

i am not too computer literate, so please, any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Try re-installing Microstudio. This generally takes care of it .

i cant find it. any way around this?

Go to your MTU folder(normally c:\Program files\Micro Technology Unlimited) and locate the Microstudio installation file. I don't know which version of Microstudio you have, but the last version installation file would be mstudio2611setup.exe

An older version may be worded different, but would still contain a Microstudio reference and end in .exe

Double click it and see if the install shield gives you the option to install UPGRADE, (or REPAIR in an older version). You shouldn't have to enter a registration code if that is there. If it calls for one, you won't be able to install without it, but you won't be any worse off than you are.

thanks george, you have been very helpful. my microstudio is up and running again.

i do have another question though.
as i said before, i'm not too computer knowlege ful.
the microstudio disc that i have is an old one i guess. it has microstudio v2.315 on it. it also has vogone v2.014 and karaoke home producer v2.009 and keyrite v1.202. i have never used anything but the microstudio, but i would like to upgrade to the latest versions of all of these.
do i just purchase the latest versions? or do i have to purchase all the versions that came between?

again, any help would be much appreciated.

Rick,

Glad you're up and running.

To get the latest versions, I believe all you would need do is puchase the latest upgrades for each product you desire to upgrade.

Take care,
George
