Plextor 716A-Select A Reading Device (CDROM) error message

Hello
Am I doing something wrong when trying to duplicate disc? I hit the Start Duplicating Button and I get this error, "Select A Reading Device (CDROM)".
I have done the Detect Drives and my drive shows up. This also happens in Custom Assembly when I click on the Add Track From CD Button.
I can import to hard drive in Import Tracks and write in Custom Assembly.
What do I do now. Thank You. Dan

Detecting the drives does not select the read/write drives you wish to use. It simply tells you which drives are or are not cdg compatible.

You tell the program which drives you wish to use for reading and writing.

You do that in the boxes next to CD RECORDER SELECTION CONTROL, labeled READING DRIVE and WRITING DRIVE, on both the DUPLICATE or CUSTOM ASSEMBLY pages.

Re: Plextor 716A-Select A Reading Device (CDROM) error message

I have done that and even though the 716 is selected for reading and writing, the "Add track to CD and Start Duplicating" buttons still give me this error, "Select a Reading Drive (CDROM)".

I have seen an error message from MTU that identifies this problem to be addressed in the next version. I just hope it is soon. Thanks.

5house,
Reset your Reading drive on these Tabs to fix this problem. Click the Down Arrow beside the Reading Drive, then left click the Plextor drive below the Listbox, then close Microstudio, to save it to the registry.

Now it will work.

It's working now. But I didn't do what you said. I just changed from CDG to CD and back and it started working. I also did what you said prior to doing what I did above and that didn't work.
Also, just to let you know I have an MSI CDROM and it recognized CDGs and read them but could not write. The graphics were also broken up here and there. It would also lock up my PC. Anyway, I have a Plextor 716 and an HP 9300. Thanks again!
