Compatibility of Plextor ATA PX712SA

My local electronics franchise, FRY'S, is offering this model at an attractive price with rebate. Has the compatibility of this Plextor drive been discussed anywhere?

Yep,
Its a Plextor, the older model of the 716, but it will work great. Now the SA stands for Searial ATA, which in the past was more expensive.

We have also looked at this, as they have this on their website for sale also.

Got One

Thanks for the tip about the website. Even thought the price went up $20 at the store, the website price, as of 6-8-05 was still good. (rebate runs out end of month)

It should work as soon as I receive delivery and install it right? :? If it doesn't, I should return it, right? :? (I know it's not guaranteed to do cdg by FRY'S, or their website.

I won't say more about it. I only felt justified in talking about a competitor(?), in plain view of other forum users because of your recent reply to my query. If I crossed boundries, my apologies.
