I misplaced the serial # of my 2.4 microstudio. If I purchase the upgrade and put it on a different computer. Do I need to pay for the serial # again and if so then sould i just buy the new 2.604?

When you purchase an upgrade, it allows you to install on the same computer you are now installed on. Thus, you can upgrade your existing system with the upgrade.

If you purchase a new version, you can legally install on a different computer, with the new serial number.
