I upgraded to Wiondows XP

I have MS 2.609 and want to know if you have any posted instructions on what settings I need to set it up correctly on Windows XP. I took all my stored songs of of my old storage drive and put them on a new drive, but some of them play incorrectly.:?

There are no actual settings that need to be changed on XP as their were in 98 or ME.

The only thing that you must make sure of is that you have all of the Windows Updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

2.609 I wish I had this version for my laptop

I can't seem to find a plce to D/L this version.. my laptop is running Win98SE if you still have this in hand would you mind sharing it? I have the 2.612 registered but need the older. I tested software on my desktop so I could see if I liked it .. now I can't use it where I want it.
Thanks
Fran

FRAN,
If your pc's aren't networked, you can copy the 2.609 .exe file from your desktop to a cd, and copy it to the laptop.

If the pc's are networked, just do a direct copy.

Regarding some songs playing incorrectly, if this persists after you upgrade Windows as support suggested, then try reducing your audio hardware accellerator settings.

Click START, RUN,
Type in DXDIAG, click OK
Click the SOUND 1 tab
Slide the Sound Hardware accellerator slide to the left about half way, and EXIT
