Recording Singers & Burning Disk

!!!Never Mind Should have read the board first!!!

Does anyone know of a simple way to record a singer and then burn them a copy. I understand there is software out there that will allow you to record them on the computer if you run the mic through it. Plus I want to use hoster, not something else.

I know there has to be an easy way to do this without having to buy a big recording studio, that you have to drag around with you everywwhere. Something like a small portable hardrive that you could hook up between the mixer and then back out to the amp., that way you get what they are hearing and not sorry sounding music and there regular voice.

Any help would be great!

Thanks, Tim Baker

The next Hoster release will support recording your singers with the music, and allow writing an Audio CDDA disc with the file. Hoster will allow mixing it also, as it is recorded.

As to legal issues, here is our understanding:

1. If the singer brings THEIR OWN disc, you can do this and it is acceptable.

2. If YOU provide the music, you should sell them a copy of the Karaoke disc you legally purchased with the music they are singing. Then you can record them and give them the audio CDDA disc.

3. If you SELL them the Audio CDDA disc, you probably are illegal as you are profiting from the sale of the music, which is not yours.
