Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
#1 When I open Hoster it doen\'t open to the bottom of the screen. I have tried closing Hoster with the X at the top right hand corner, but that didn\'t work.
#2 When I go to import songs the spaces to put the artist and Ready/Imported are crowded together with the song title. |

Take a look at this video see if it helps.http://youtu.be/DLi7MlBZXvE?hd=1
Otherwise show some screen shots of what you are seeing. |
Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Hey Roy, Thank you for the video, it was impressive. I already know how to resize the screens, but when I close out of Hoster or even close out of the import screen, nothing stays where I moved it to.

Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Sounds like something in the registry gone amiss.
I’ll see if support knows the answer. |
Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Roy, I fixed the Hoster opening screen by clicking the expansion button, hower when I go to the import screen and move the artist and ready/imported area, they do not stay where I moved them to after I close and reopen the import songs area.

Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Your running a really old version, 5.41.04 from our records. This may or may not be the issue, I just tested all this on the very latest 6.01.01 version and it works perfectly fine on our systems. (Win 7 and 10)

Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Since remotely connecting to Pauls computer I can see the index hard drive Artist, Title and Status columns do not retain their positions (Not persistent).
They are all visible just not at an ideal setting. He has to adjust them each time he wants to import something. He is using an old version of Hoster 5.41. After seeing his issue I ran a copy of 5.41 on my own computer and that is the same, column widths and position none persistent. As It performs the same on my test computer I can only assume it is an incompatibility with Windows 10 with that version. Paul does not run Hoster as a Karaoke Host, he Runs it a performer only and mainly runs from different playlists. loading different playlist for different types of show. He has no need for any of the bells and whistles that most of us require like rotation management, he does not use Marquee or Singers name display. He actually uses the singers database for storing songlists like 60s nights, Halloween and loads of others not as singers database like a karaoke host. Although the column width is an annoyance I think it is acceptable for the way he uses it. |
Re: Paul Hoster screen does not open completely
Just wondering, if he upgrades will his old playlist be compatible to the new version of Hoster?
