I cannot get microstudio to play my cd's

Someone please help. I realize this is probably a small problem, but it has stumped me. I have installed the microstudio and the kpro programs, but I am still not able to get it to play or even see that I have a cd in the cd drive. I have two drives, a hp cd-writer and a dvd-rom. Do I need to download some drivers from somewhere or what? Help me please. Thank you.

KAREN WHITE.........

1. What is the exact model of your HP CD Burner.
2. The HP may or maynot support CD+G format.
3. Don't believe you DVD CD-Burner will support CD+G

4. MicroStudio Products are meant to work best with Plextor CD burners.

5. Best to get a Plextor.......

Karen,
here is a link to the list of supported CDRW's from MTU's site, also FYI microstudio will not play off your DVD player.
But click the link and see if your HP is on the list:

Test your CDR drive

Karen, click the Detect Drives button in most of the Microstudio screens. If your drive shows up with NO for Karaoke, then it will not read or write the CDG format. :s

If you need a CDR certified CDG drive, we sell them at our store. We can ship one out Monday if your order before noon on Monday. You can order from our on-line store. The fastest drive is the IDE, but the USB (with a USB-2 port) is portable between computers if you need that (and just about as fast).
