MP3 and ZIP Problem-Some errors were detected during the file conversion process:

Well I have been cleaning and restoring hard drives in order to try and get this software to work on my computers.

Laptop: MP3G and Zip are fine, but Microstudio has trouble playing wma-g and kma

Desktop: I think that Songverter creates good conversions of bin to wma but now when I try to go from Bin to ZIP or MP3G, I get:

Some errors were detected during the file conversion process:
Please refer to the following file for more information:
(Songverter program folder)...Badfilelog.txt

The program looks like it's trying to do the job, but there are no files in the folders indicated, (you know how they pop up in the right window as soon as they are created) And then the message pops up.

I've downloaded the lame_enc.dll file from different sources and shoved it into the system32 folder many times, heck I've even tried the system folder, but I still get this message. (The Badfilelog.txt file only says the names of the files I intended to convert-no real explanation of what is wrong is given)

Everybody else seems to be getting Windows messages but this one seems to be generated by Songverter. Any ideas?? (Besides "Use songverter for wma and m_____z for mp3g stuff"; I already have that idea:w) That other software works, with a Z works fine on this machine

Songverter and Microstudio are being worked on right now to fix this and a couple other problems. Both should be out soon.

I would stick with the lame_enc that Songverter recomends because thats the one Songverter was designed to work with.

Other versions may work for some things and not others (first hand experience here).

My Error

Of course the Songverter linked lame file was my first 20 tries. I tried others later.:w Sorry that was not clear. (20 may just be an exageration:e )

Lame_enc.dll file listed with Songverter is the only one that has all the functions needed. This is only used for MP3 (and MP3+G) conversions, so doesn't effect other formats.
As I said above both programs are being worked on currently for those problems you listed. Give them some time.

Same problem.....

I just bought the program. Having the same problem. I loaded up a folder with Zips to convert and it got through about 50 and gave me the error message.

I would like to load the files up and let it do the work overnight.

But it keeps stopping and giving me the error message.

Please advise.

Check the BadFile.log and see which file(s) are causing the error message. Verify that the two files in the zip have the exact same file name except for the extensions.
The program should continue until all are processed or logged as bad. Just as FYI Songverter does not look in sub-folders. All of the zip files have to be in the same folder.
