Microstudio is not recognizing some kmas files

Perhaps theres someone else out there having the same issue and trying to figure it out how to fix it.
My problem is that I want to burn a cd using my kma´s, but some of them are not accepted for my microstudio.
I have over 8,000 tracks, some imported by hoster from hdd files (bins) and the
mojority from cd+g cds.
I can use Microst. to burn both types of files imported (hdd or cd tracks) but some of the cd+g tracks cant be recognized or imported as well as some hdd files.
What could be the problem? any Idea people..?:?:?:?

Re: Microstudio is not recognizing some kmas files

Well, if you have microstudio, go to the WRITE DISC option on top.
Then a new window pop up, and in the middle of the screen theres an option that says ADD SONGS...

Well, I select the folder containing the KMAs but the files can not be added for some reason.( this folder have KMAs imported from a karaoke cd - cd+g )

If I try a different folder with another KMAs, they can be added.
(this folder contains KMAs imported also from a cd+g)

So, I just dont get it, how come the software can recognize some kmas and some others not?:?

My apologies if my english is not good enough....

by the way, there are no error messages, is like importing nothing, what I get is a blank list

Re: Microstudio is not recognizing some kmas files

Check your Disk size in the Write Disc window and make sure it is correct. Then check to see if you have time left for adding songs. In other words if you are using discs that will record 80 minutes, be sure this is the size set and that the time remaining shows time left.
What version of Microstudio and what operating system are you using?

Thanks for your answer...

As I said before, I just dont get it...
I have a blank list, cd option to 80 minutes, but unable to import...
I can send you a sample of the files I need to import and you can try if you want to.

Let me know if you want...

And appreciate your support....

Gracias....(thank you)

Does it Chris?

Chris do you actually see the KMA's in the folder that you want to import? If not, then you have to find the folder where you imported them to. Or, import them again, trying a different default folder. But in any event, a good rule is to try to stay with the default folders microstudio creates. They are always always right there that way. Or for some reason you picked the folder and it's empty. Try importing them again chris.

TY for the post about lame.dll, found above. I did that and it corrected MS to see my zip files. Once again, you came to the rescue guys. It sent me to this address to find the most updated file. http://www.freecodecs.net/fc/lame3.98.4.zip

I Spoke too soon! I have 11,151 zip files in a folder that that I call "Zips". When I tell Microstudio 4.23 to find my files it only find 606 and fails everything else. I have used sonverter to do a zip to zip conversion of all the files w only 4 errors. I have install latest lame.dll still no fix. WHY?

Re: Microstudio is not recognizing some kmas files

Jim, try this first. Make a temporary folder on your desktop and copy about 10 of the zips in the folder of the files that won't import into MS into the temporary folder on your desktop.
Now open Microstudio and Brows to the temporary folder and see if they show and if they do if they play. If the answer is no to the above, try attaching one of the zips with your reply so that we can test it for ourselves.

Well the problem has nothing to do with the lame dll or you wouldn't get any of the files up :r
One thing in your above statement, " I have both operating systems on my computer!" Do you mean on the same computer ?
If so I am not familiar with having both on one.
As far as I know you are the only one to have reported this particular problem so can't go by previous solutions but what I think may have happened is you may have some registry mixup from a previous version.
What I would try is click the computer start button, in the window at the bottom "search for programs and files", type regedit this should find regedit.exe, start this then look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER and click the arrow at the left of it, scroll down to Software and click the arrow to the side of that, then scroll down to Micro Technology Unlimited, then highlight Microstudio and delete it. Now start Microstudio but it will be as if you were first starting with it and will have to do all the preliminary settings as if never used before.

Other than that I would put in another support ticket. Mention this thread in your post.

Which operating system do you have Microstudio install in?

Only other thing I can offer is for you to make the changes (for Hoster but also helps with Microstudio) in this link:
