How do I get updates for my 2004 order?

If you read the entire FAQ that they listed:

The links in your store account expire in 30 days. But the FAQ lists links to each program's download point. However, if your order date is correct and you haven't upgraded since then, my guess is you will have to purchase the upgrades since all of the programs have undergone major changes.

Download links are valid for 30 days then disappear. After that, run the program with the computer on-line. Click the Help menu, and the Check for Updates command. In the web page that appears, find and click the DOWNLOAD button. This will deliver the latest release version of that program. If you have not purchased a Registration Code for that main release version (a 3.0 RegCode will not install a 4.0 version), you can do so from that page.

Did you read that portion of the download instructions that the link you have sent you to?

Your order is just about three years old.

What is it you are trying to do, upgrade or re-install ?

Technically your download link is gone. In the FAQ there are download links for all the programs, but they are the current versions which you will have to purchase in order to install. Click on the link (blue underlined text)in your first post and read down to the download links.

SingerNak, I'm sorry you are frustrated. Please calm down and fully read the instructions we give you. As Dale pointed out, the information you requested was in our Support Ticket answer, if you had read the entire FAQ.

We only have the most current version of each program on our web site for download. Otherwise, it would cause tremendous confusion to find out which version you need, and download only that one.

When you purchased in 2004, our instructions were very clear for you to make a backup copy of each downloaded program to a CDROM. We hav ALWAYS given this instruction. Your problem today, is you didn't do that.

The only way you can get back up running all your Suite 4 programs is to buy the Karaoke Suite 4 UPGRADE for $79.95. This will bring you up-to-date with all the latest versions. You will receive a new RegCode for each product, and be able to download and install them.

Also, please understand that we CLOSE every Support Ticket after we answer it. If you need to ask another question, like you have in this Forum Thread, then simply look for the "reopen" button beside your Ticket, click it, and add your new question. That keeps everything in the one Thread so we can all see what has been asked, answered, and remaining questions.


Warning! Do NOT insult people who give you free help. If you still don't understand our instructions, ask your NEW questions. Insulting MTU will keep other users like Dale and George from answering you. We at MTU also don't appreciate your frustration being focused at us, when we are giving you exactly what you need to know.


If you had told us in your Support Ticket that you bought in 2004, we would have told you to buy the Suite 4 upgrade then, as I have now. That would have solved your problem in our first answer. The more you tell us, the sooner your problem will get solved. When you try to hide the facts, you will get frustrated. Learn to work with us, and we all can enjoy being the MTU.Community. :w

ADMIN,

Singernak PM'd me last night, and the problem was caused by installation of VISTA.

I could be wrong, but I'd guess that upgrading the suite would be necessary anyway, as none of the three year old programs would work with VISTA. Was getting ready to answer by PM, but might as well do it here.
