6.01.02 Isolating player issues

I am helping one of MTU\\\'s customers isolate and resolve an issue playing MP3+CDG content through hoster.

The customer has multiple venues and each has its own copy of hoster 6.01.02.

Only one site is having an issue. At this particular venue all content plays except a particular set of 3rd party MP3+CDG content. That content will only play successfully for about 30 seconds and then the hoster player terminates during the show.
However the content does successfully play on the same machine using the VLC player, just not hoster.

This content consists of several dozen unzipped 128CBR MP3s with accompanying CDGs. The MP3s were authored using audacity. The CDGs were created using Ulduzsoft Lyrics Editor.

At another venue owned by the same customer, with another installation of hoster 6.01.02 this content DOES successfully and completely play without any issue.

I also independently purchased and installed a copy of hoster 6.01.02 as well and I am able to play the content in its entirety.

To identify the problem at this venue, which hoster log files should I review to determine why hoster is crashing when playing this particular content?
Any thoughts as to why it is only play the first 30 seconds or so.

Re: 6.01.02 Isolating player issues

It seems there must be something different about the computer that only plays 30 seconds.
1) Are they all running same version of windows ?
2) Do they all run the same security software ?
3) Have the files been imported into Hoster ?
4) Is remove silence active ?

To try and narrow the problem down try the following, load one via the K-oke button rather than the search feature and see if it still only plays 30 sec.

If it still fails try loading just the MP3 track via the Audio button.
Let us know if either of those play.

Never seen this problem befofe so it a matter of trial and error.
